Hospital General Menonita and Manati Medical Center Choose CloudWave OpSus Live Cloud Services for Secure Hosting of EHR and Enterprise Applications

CloudWave announced that Puerto Rico-based Hospital General Menonita and Manati Medical Center have integrated the OpSus Live cloud service. This Infrastructure as a Service solution provides secure hosting for Electronic Health Records (EHR) and enterprise applications, including fully managed compute, storage, disaster recovery, archiving, backup, security, and systems management.

Through its data center partnership with Neptuno, the premier technology and telecommunications company in Puerto Rico, CloudWave hosts, secures, and protects critical EHR and related applications such as PACS for hospitals throughout Puerto Rico and the Caribbean. With its Tier IV SSAE 18 SOC 2 Type 2 certified data center facilities, Neptuno provides the platform for CloudWave's OpSus services which include managed hosting, daily operations, security, systems maintenance, and full disaster recovery.

This is critical as always-on, highly reliable IT infrastructure within a hospital is essential to deliver optimal patient care. CloudWave enables hospitals and healthcare organizations to migrate vital IT services including EHR and enterprise application hosting, medical imaging, disaster recovery, analytics, and interoperability to secure, performant, highly available multi-cloud platforms with a range of managed services. CloudWave bridges the gap between legacy healthcare applications and native SaaS applications by weaving them together in a seamless platform that embraces edge cloud, private cloud, and public cloud resources.

"We are excited to welcome Hospital General Menonita and Manati Medical Center to the rapidly-growing list of hospitals in Puerto Rico that are taking advantage of the OpSus Cloud to enable uptime, reliable systems performance, interoperability, and reduced complexity," said Erik Littlejohn, president and CEO, CloudWave. "The OpSus Cloud also helps to alleviate many of the common technical challenges faced in a healthcare environment, enabling our hospital partners to focus on delivering quality care to patients in their communities."

"Since partnering with CloudWave in 2020, we are thrilled to see more hospitals in Puerto Rico begin utilizing the company's OpSus services," said, Pedro Andres, president and CEO, Neptuno. "We recognize the vital importance of operational sustainability in healthcare and continue to be proud of our work with CloudWave, providing them with the most premier and seamless data center in Puerto Rico to ensure that hospitals can fully trust that their EHR and other critical applications are secure and highly available."

CloudWave's managed cloud services are built to exceed all security and compliance requirements for healthcare, and guarantee uptime, easy access, and strong security to hospital users. Furthermore, OpSus Live-part of the OpSus Healthcare Cloud-meets all HIPAA and HITECH requirements mandating the privacy and protection of patient information. This is achieved through rigorous security and operational processes that are the foundation of all OpSus cloud solutions.
